A large still life painting of a nude woman at rest in a dark oak wooden frame which was sourced in France and signed Charles Taillez. There is something so transfixing about this painting, you are drawn into the soft silhouette of the woman and the dark tones gives the painting a moody feeling which I love. The wooden frame is super detailed with an inner gold boarder which adds another great dimension to the piece. My research suggests (from reading the letter on the back of the painting) that the painter Charles Taillez took inspiration from renowned artist D. Hinsberger.
The wooden frame does have some minor signs of wear as you can see in the pictures. I personally don't think that this takes away from the beauty of the painting and if anything, I think it adds to the charm and rustic feel. The painting itself is in overall good vintage condition with some very minor signs of wear in the top left hand side of the painting (this is just where a bit of the paint has worn off) but there are no other signs of damage.
Please note that this painting has therefore been priced according to its current condition.
I endeavour to mention any wear but please be aware that these items are not always in perfect condition. If you would like further information regarding the condition, I am always happy to answer any questions you have. You can email me via my website live chat, email me at email@example.com or direct message me on Instagram here.
As these items are fragile in their nature, I normally ship each piece in its own box. If I can safely package two paintings in one box I will and refund you the excess paid. For all international orders, please be aware that legally I am required to note the exact amount paid on all invoices and therefore there may be import duties/taxes due upon delivery.
