An incredibly rare large rustic porcelain cheese keeper by Franz Ant Mehlem from the late 19th century (CIRCA 1870 - 1920) and made in Germany. It has a striking gold handle with oak leaf motif decoration to the top with ribbed design along the edges.
Franz was a 19th-20th century pottery designer from Bonn, Germany. He made porcelain and earthernware objects for the home. He called his pottery Royal Bonn and he made exquisite pieces of fine china from 1836-1931.
This is would make such a wonderful addition to add to your forever pieces.

In great antique condition with no major signs of damage although it has some discolouration and will show signs of use from a past loved life.
